PPGEC Newsletter - Sustainable Construction
Professors Heber Martins de Paula and Ed Carlo R. Paiva, together with students from the Sustainable Constructions discipline (Master / PPGEC) created a newsletter, which addresses reports on thermal comfort in some construction systems and how they would behave if they were executed in the Goiás region.
The menu of the Sustainable Constructions discipline of the academic master's degree in Civil Engineering at FENG / UFCAT, contemplates, among other subjects, the use of alternative materials in the construction of buildings and bioclimatic project strategies aiming at obtaining comfortable and energy efficient buildings. In this sense, an activity was developed that addressed these two topics, in which students should research some examples of sustainable buildings around the world, analyzing their constructive characteristics and bioclimatic strategies adopted in the development of their projects. After that, the students verified the possibility of building the building obtained in the research in the Bioclimatic Zone 6, according to NBR 15220, which includes the state of Goiás.
